Located in the Old Town, Hotel de Guise dates back to 1752, when the property was built on the remains of a former 17th-century abbey.
Originally a stately home, built on the orders of the Marquis de Jouffroy and the Comtesse de Bressey (who was known for having been a favourite at the court of King Stanislas Leszczynski, after whom Place Stanislas is named), the building later became a private town house.

Today, the hotel retains the period feel and style of its glorious past. The owners have taken care to preserve the architectural and stylistic elements which bear witness to the hotel’s impressive history, enhancing them with tasteful and contemporary renovations. Parquet floors, mouldings and marble fireplaces blend perfectly with a modern, sleek and elegant décor.
To access the hotel’s various floors, home to the rooms which each boast a unique décor, you’ll climb a magnificent wrought-iron staircase. Dating back to the 18th century, it was inspired by the work of Jean Lamour, an ironmonger who worked for the King of Poland and who made Place Stanislas’ superb gilded gates.
